Increased interest in organic cosmetics is making argan oil more popular, according to Hicham ben Youssef of ArganOilShop.com . The company recently introduced Premium Cosmetic Argan, a natural cosmetic made of 100 percent argan oil, which has been used for centuries as a skin moisturizer and hair treatment by Berber women of Morocco because it is rich in Vitamin E, according to the company. Argan oil is produced from the fruit of the argan tree that grows in arid regions of northern Africa. Argan oil, which is harvested by a women’s cooperative of the Berber tribe in Morocco, is rich in antioxidants, essential fatty acids and vitamin E, which makes it ideal for maintaining and improving the overall health of skin, hair and nails.

“Today we’re seeing a huge movement to green cosmetics and natural skin care products. Women are eager to use products that are all natural,” said Hicham ben Youssef. “It is eco-friendly and supports women’s rights in an important region of the world. Moroccan government figures reveal three million rural people earn their livelihood from the production of fair trade argan oil.”
